Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan are both positive for COVID-19. Amitabh Bachchan was confirmed COVID - 19 positive first and afterwards Abhishek announced that he had tested positive for the virus.
Taking to Twitter, Abhishek confirmed the news saying, "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you."
Amitabh tweeted, “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital," while saying his family and staff were awaiting their test results.
"All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!" he added.

Amitabh was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital late Saturday evening, where he is undergoing extensive tests and getting treatment for the same.
While Sr Bachchan has been unable to resume his work commitments due to the government's lockdown rules for senior actors, Abhishek was among the first few stars to resume work after the lockdown restrictions were eased.
Always seen sporting a mask and protective coronavirus gear, Abhishek has often been spotted at the recording studios.
Following the confirmation of their test results, Abhishek and father Amitabh have been receiving an outpour of love and support from fans and friends alike. Several Bollywood stars including Anupam Kher, Vicky Kaushal, Raveena Tandon, Sonu Sood, Mika Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, Nimrat Kaur, Randeep Hooda, Parineeti Chopra and many others took to social media to wish the father-son duo a speedy recovery.
