Mimi Chakraborty in film based on Hetal Paresh Murder

Mimi Chakraborty is now busy with Arindam Sil's next film based on the murder of 14-year-old Hetal Parekh in 1990 and the subsequent hanging of Dhananjoy Chatterjee for it in 2004.

Arindam Sil is working on a film titled 'Dhananjoy' based on Hetal Parekh murder on 5th March 1990. Dhananjoy Chatterjee was charged with the crimes of rape and murder of Hetal Parekh and was hanged on 14 August 2004. 22 injuries were found on Hetal's body. 

The execution stirred up many public controversies and attracted attention from media. Dhananjoy was convicted on the basis of circumstantial evidences only. He had consistently maintained his innocence throughout his trial and imprisonment which lasted for more than 14 year.

Anirban Bhattacharya will play the role based on Dhananjoy Chatterjee. Madhumanti Maitra and Ashoke Viswanathan daughter Anusha Viswanathan will be seen playing the character based on Hetal Parekh. Sudipta Chakraborty has been casted in the role of mother of the unfortunate girl and Mimi Chakraborty will be seen in the role of a lawyer of Supreme Court.
