Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan unveiled the trailer of Advait Chandan’s directorial debut film “Secret Superstar“ and describes his role as “tadka in the dal”.

Aamir said: “I have an interesting character in this film and it has been written and directed by Advait. It was Advait’s idea to come up with this look and I have never done a role like this before. The story is about a girl, but I am a very integral part of this film. I am like the ‘tadka in the dal.”

Film Secret Superstar is about the journey of Insia, an aspiring singer, a 14-year-old Muslim girl from Vadodara, Gujarat. She takes to a burqa to hide her identity from her family while recording online videos of her singing.

Film Secret Superstar is produced by Aamir along with Zee Studios and the film will release on 04 August 2017.
