Karan Johar’s upcoming film 'Ae Dil Hai
Mushkil' is now the subject of intense political debate. Recently through a
video message, Karan Johar has expressed his grief over accusations against him
for being "anti-national".
"There were efforts made by our government
for peaceful relationship with our neighbouring country and I respected those
endeavours and efforts then and I respect the sentiments today," said
Karan Johar.
Karan has also appealed to not interrupt the
screening of the film as many Indians are linked with the film. Johar said "Over
300 Indians in my crew have put their blood, sweat and tears into my film and I
don’t think it is fair to them to face any kind of turbulence from other fellow
Indians."
The Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman
Sena (MNS) said it would intensify its opposition to Karan Johar’s film ‘Ae Dil
Hai Mushkil’ as it features Pakistani actors. One of the MNS leaders asid “We
will oppose the screening of the movie everywhere in the state. If any
