Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukhopadhyay's film Praktan is doing good business in box office and the film is a must see for those who love good movies. Prosnjit Chottopadhyay, Rituparna Sengupta and Aparajita Adhya are excellent in the movie but special credit goes to Rituparna Sengupta.

Ritu is 40 plus and still the most glamorous actress in Bengali films. Rituparna has already proved that she is the Queen of Bengali films not only for her glamour - she has shown acting talents in many films.

Film Praktan is based on a failed marriage which high lights the mistakes of Rituparna and Prosenjit when they were husband and wife. In the film Praktan, Rituparna, Aparajita Adhya and her daughter were co-passengers in a train. They were coming from Mumbai to Howrah. Aparajita is the second wife of Prosenjit whom he married after divorce from Rituparna. Rituparna came to know about Aparajita's relationship with Prosenjit. At this point Rituparna's interactions with Aparajita and her daughter shows how great actress she is. Suddenly Prosenjit appeared in the train compartment and the atmosphere changed. During this period of the film, Rituparna's eyes speaks more than words.

Film Praktan adds a new feather in the crown of Rituparna Sengupta and the actress may hope for best actress national award.
