Tamil television actor Sai Prashanth has committed suicide at his residence on 13 March 2016. According to police sources, Prashanth mixed poison in his drink and the reason behind the suicide is still not clear. Although it is assumed that loneliness may be the reason of suicide.

A suicide note is found where the actor said that no one is to be blamed for his death. Sai Prashanth's first marriage was not a successful one. After divorcing his first wife, Prashanth re-married three months ago. 

Sai Prashanth had worked in serials such as Annamalai, Selvi and Arasi. The actor he had also worked in a few Tamil films like Neram, Thegidi and Vadacurry.
