Balan will be very soon seen in women centric film of Mahesh Bhatt. The film is
a Hindi adaptation of Srijit Mukherji's Bengali film 'Rajkahini'.
The film is in the backdrop of 1947 Bengal
partition and revolves around the protagonist, madam of the brothel. In Bengali
film Rajkahini, Rituparna Sengupta played the role of Begum Jaan.
Bengali film Rajkahini was a super hit film in 2015 and Rituparna Sengupta's performance in the film as Begum Jaan was outstanding.
The film will go on floors from mid June this year.
