Great news for Bengali film lovers. Prosenjit and Rituparna pair is making their comeback in Bengali films after 15 years and the film is Praktan. Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy are making the film Praktan. Previously Rituparna and Prosenjit pair used to act in teen age lover films but now Bengali film audiences will see two matured lovers in the industry. In real life also they used to share a good romantic relationship but suddenly they broke the hit and hot pair. Now they are back again and definitely their real life feelings will be reflected in the film Praktan. Prosenjit and Rituparna were in good terms before the marriage of Ritu, Prosenjit was seen in reception at Rituparna's marriage ceremony but after that their relationship touched the bottom rock, they were not even in talking terms. Prosenjit and Rituparna had appeared in many photo shoots but none of them uttered a single word with each other. Rituparna and Prosenjit have many common criteria, both are highly ambitious, emotional and egoistic. These are the main reasons of their split. Prosenjit feels that there is a strong chemistry between him and Rituparna. Now it seems that the situation is changing.

Both Rituparna and Prosenjit have many common friends but it is very strange that nobody took the initiative to repair their broken relationship. Ritu feels that common friends can't solve each and every problems. Prosenjit was the first to move forward and talked with Rituparna over phone after a long gap of 11 years on the occasion of a gathering of artists for the shake of film industry of Bengal. Rituparna still feels the pain of their long separation. Both were willing to talk with each other but their ego didn't permit to move ahead. Rituparna - Prosenjit relationship may be a plot of a hit film.

Film Praktan is a love story and this film is going to be the first film of Prosenjit with the director duo. Rituparna has already done three films with Shiboprosad-Nandita. Shiboprosad and Nandita have made plans for another film with Ritu and Prosenjit, Gauhar Jaan. Plot of the film Praktan is very interesting. Two ex-lovers suddenly meet and find a new equation of life. 

Rituparna and Prosenjit pair have worked in 52 Bengali films so far and all the films are romantic films. After Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen, Rituparna - Prosenjit pair is the most successful in Bengali films. Both Rituparna and Prosenjit has matured over the years and has done some very critical roles in interesting films.

Rituparna and Prosenjit are again working together - it is a good news for the Bengali film audiences as well as for the Bengali film industry. Prosenjit agrees that there was a misunderstanding between them. Prosenjit thanks a leading Bengali daily news paper for taking initiative to melt the ice between him and Rituparna. In Calcutta Golf Club, Rituparna and Prosenjit posed for close photo shoots and from that time they start to revive their relationship.
