Ankush Hazra is from Badamtala, Burdwan. Ankush studied at Holy Rock school and East West Model School - both in Burdwan. Presently Ankush is studying BBA.

Ankush is the new discover of 2012 in Bengali films industry. Bengali film Idiot is the second film of Ankush and in this film he is able to draw attention of directors, producers and audiences. Bengali film industry feels that Ankush is the block bluster hero of 2012. Some feels that Ankush has the ability to dance like Ritwick Roshan while some has the opinion that his smile is like Shah Rukh Khan.

Ankush got chance to study Electronics Engineering in Durgapur but his dream was to settle in Kolkata so that one day he might get chance in films. Acting is Ankush's passion from his childhood and he is a great fan of Shah Rukh Khan.

Ankush came to Kolkata and started studying BBA and at the same time his struggle for getting chance in acting started. Ankush got chance in a Bengali film 'Kella Fate'. In the mean time Ankush prepared himself with acting training at Bhabanipur and learned dancing at dancing classes of Baba Yadav.
