Actress Manisha Koirala discharged from Jaslok Hospital

Manisha Koirala was discharged from hospital today morning. Manisha was admitted to Jaslok Hospital after she felt unconscious. The reason behind her illness is still not clear although people are suspecting that the actress is diagonised with cancer. Spokesperson of Jaslok Hospital also said that Manisha Koirala has requested not to disclose anything about her health.

Family members of Manisha Koirala are now with the actress. Manisha's brother was at the hospital beside his sister.All are praying for Manisha and are hopeful that Manisha Koirala will be able to come out of this situation. Jackie Shroff, Ram Gopal Verma, Gulshan Grover are hopeful that fighter Manisha will win the battle. Let's hope so.

Former prime minister Inder Kumar Gujral is Dead

Former prime minister Inder Kumar Gujral died today at 3.31 pm . IK Gujral was admitted to Medicity Medanta Hospital with a lung infection on 19 November and his condition at that time was extremely critical. Inder Kumar Gujral died today. Actually doctors informed earlier that there was no hope. Inder Kumar Gujral died at the age of 93 years.

 Inder Kumar Gujral was the 12th Prime Minister of India and before that he was Foreign Minister for two times. Inder Kumar Gujral's body will be taken to his home soon.

Anita Advani vs Dimple Kapadia on Property of Rajesh Khanna

The conflict between family members of Rajesh Khanna and Anita Advani, who was supposed to be the live-in partner of the super start during the last few years of his life has taken a new turn. A metropolitan court has ordered family members of Rajesh Khanna including Akshay Khanna to appear before the court. Anita Advani has lodged a complaint against Dimple Kapadia and other members of the family and she has claimed to be live-in partner of Rajesh Khanna and now wants maintenance from the estate of the late actor.

The court has ordered Dimple Kapadia, Twinkle, Rinki, and Akshay Kumar to appear before the court on 04 December to let the court know their views on arriving at a settlement with Anita Advani, if they so desired.

If the Dimple and other members do not agree to a settlement the matter will be taken for hearing.

Ajmal Kasab hanged at 7.30 am today

Terrorist Ajmal Kasab was hanged to death at Yerawada jail in Pune today at 7.30 am. Kasab was the only terrorist captured alive after the Mumbai attacks on November 26, 2008. Earlier in October of 2012, the Home Ministry of India rejected the mercy plea of Ajmal Kasab. President of India, Pranab Mukherjee also rejected the mercy plea on 5 November 2012.

Today at early morning Ajmal Kasab was transferred to Yerawada jail in Pune and hanged to death at 7.30 am. Maharashtra government has confirmed the news and doctors declared him death. 

The entire operation took place under tight security.  There was no prior information about hanging Ajmal Kasab today and the news was declared by state government after carrying out the hang order.

No big bash to celebrate 90th birthday of Dilip Kumar

On 11 December 2012, veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar will turn 90. It was heard that Dilip Saab was planning planning big bash to celebrate his 90th birthday but he denied it. Dilip Kumar said that he and his wife Saira Banu are yet to recover from the death of Yash Chopra and the recent death of Bal Thackeray has a great impact on both of them. Veteran Bollywood actor Pran is admitted to hospital

Bollywood actor Pran is suffering from pneumonia and he is admitted at Lilavati hospital in Mumbai. Pran sahaab is considered as one of the most iconic villains of the Bollywood film industry who has acted in nearly 350 films. A spokesperson from the hospital said that the actor may be released in a few days. Amitabh Bachchan visited Pran in the hospital and said that Pran sahaab would be back to home by Wednesday. Amitabh Bachchan tweeted that "He is joking and talking." Pran and Amitabh have worked together in many memorable Hindi films like Zanjeer, Don etc.

Pran, Pran Krishan Sikand was born in 12 February 1920 in New Delhi. Pran worked in Hindi films from 1940 to 2007. Wife of Pran is Shukla Sikand and they have three Children - Arvind Sikand, Sunil Sikand and Pinky Sikand.

In future there may be many actors who will be able to act in villains role like Pran but till today we can not find anybody who can portray quali song scenes like him.

Bengali celebrity marriages on 23 November 2012

Bengali actor Soham will get married on 23 November. The bride is from Baguihati, Tanaya Pal. For the last six years, Soham and Tanaya were dating each other. This year Tanaya has completed her graduation. The marriage will be in traditional Bengali style. Soham will wear dhoti of maroon colour and kurta. Tanaya Pal will wear special Benarasi saree.

Marriage will be held at Shibangan, near Baguihati Zora mandir. Reception on 25 November at st. paul's cathedral church. Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee and other many state ministers are invited.

Singer Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury will tie the knot on 23 November 2012 with software engineer Akash Roy. Somlata is also a guest lecturer of psychology at the Asutosh College in Kolkata. Akash Roy is working in Gurgaon. Wedding ceremony of Somlata and Akash will be held at Dalmia Bhabhan on 23 November and the reception will be at the same location on 25 November. Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray is dead

Bal Keshav Thackeray or Balasaheb Thackeray, founder of Shiv Sena is dead. The end of Bal Thackeray came at 3.30 pm of 17 November 2012 following a heart attack. Bal Thackeray’s health was worsening since last few weeks and he was under treatment. Prayers of thousands of Shiv Sainiks failed at Bal Thackeray died.

Since last few days, condition of Balasaheb's health was detoriating. Bal Thackeray was on constant oxygen for the last few days and was not taking any food.

Bal Thackeray was born on 23 January 1926. His father was Keshav Sitaram Thackeray who was a leading figure in united Maharashtra movement. Bal Thackeray started his professional career as a cartoonist in a English daily but afterwards left the job and started his own political weekly Marmik. In 1966, Bal Thackeray formed Shiv Sena mainly to protect Marathi people from the growing power of Gujaratis, Marwaris and South Indians in Mumbai.  Till his death, the most controversial character in Indian politics Bal Thackeray continued his fight for Marathi speaking people and Hindu religion. Bal Thackeray was anti Muslim and he used to openly admit it. On many occasions Bal Thackeray used to issue controversial statements.    

Since last few years, Bal Thackeray kept himself away from public life.

Bal Thackeray still in critical condition

Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray is still in very critical condition and there is no improvement. Anxious crowd are waiting outside Balasaheb's residence Matoshree at Bandra, Mumbai where Balasaheb is fighting. Uddhav Thackeray told the crowd that "I have not lost hope." He further appealed to party activists to remain calm and maintain peace.

Special security arrangement is done arround Matoshree by Mumbai Police and other security agencies. More than 350 police personnel, plus the Rapid Action Force and other contingents are engaged for the security purpose at Matoshree , Bandra West. Indian president Pranab Mukherjee had a schedule to visit Maharastra from today. The schedule has been cancelled.

Box office report of Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardar

Both the films - Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardar are released on an auspicious day like Diwali and box ofice report says that both the films had a grand opening. Before the release, both the films were in hot topic dicussions in Bollywood film industry and now it is being expected that both will cross Rs. 100 crore marks so far as box office collection is concerned.

Box office collection wise, Jab Tak Hai Jaan is ahead of Son of Sardar on the first day. Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan is released on 2,500 screens and first day box office collection of the film is reported to be Rs.15.23 crore in India. Ajay Devgan, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt starrer Son of Sardar is released in 2000 screens and first day collection is Rs.10.72 crore.

Report says that Son Of Sardaar is doing good business in single screens while Jab Tak Hai Jaan is dominating the box office in multiplexes.

Bal Thackeray is on oxygen and not taking food

Health situation of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray is critical. Balasaheb is on continuous oxygen and not eating anything since last few days. Many prominent leaders including former president of India, Pratibha Patil have visited residence of Balasaheb Thackeray - Matoshree in last few days. Raj Thackeray is also keeping close touch with the condition of his uncle, Balasaheb. Shiv Sainiks in Maharastra are praying for Bal Thackeray.

Balasaheb is suffering from breathing problems and he is under medical supervision at his own residence.

Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray himself dismissed the rumour that he is on ventilator and blamed a Marathi leading daily for spreading such rumour. Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray is suffering from breathing toubles is under treatment at his own residence.

Balasaheb Thackeray admitted that his health is not well but not totally collapsed. Bal Thackeray thanks the Shiv Sainiks for their constant prayers for his health. Health condition of Bal Thackeray is critical

Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray’s health continued to be in a critical condition although his nephew Raj Thackeray said that Balasaheb is quite well and there is nothing to be worried. Team of doctors are keeping round-the-clock watch on Bal Thackeray. Former president of India, Pratibha Patil and Raj Thackeray visited Bal Thackeray on Saturday. This is Raj
Thackeray's fifth visit in a month and the health condition of Bal Thackeray may ultimately make the patch-up between the warring cousins.

2012 is not a good year for Bal Thackeray so far as his health is concerned. At the start of the year, Bal Thackeray had a severe stomach pain and he was suggested an endoscopy although the decision was deferred after consulting doctor. Balasaheb was hospitalised twice this year, in February and in May. Shiv Sena chief himself is also very much aware of his health condition. This year Bal Thackeray did not attended the Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park, Dadar. A recorded statement of Bal Thackeray was aired to Shiv Sainiks in which the great fighter for Hindus virtually announced his retirement.

 The doctors attending Bal Thackeray said that condition of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray is very critical. He is suffering from lung, pancreatic ailments.

Rajesh Khanna, Ramesh Sippy and Kailash Kher may get padma awards next year

In arts category, legendary Bollywood actor late Rajesh Khanna, filmmaker Ramesh Shippy of Sholay fame and singer Kailash Kher may get padma awards in 2013 Republic Day. The information and broadcasting ministry has recommended names of the above three people from entertainment world. Rajesh Khann's name has been recommended for Padma Vibhushan and the other two have been recommended for Padma Shri.

Normally Padma awards are not conferred posthumously but this time there may be an exception. Last year music director and singer Bhupen Hazarika was conferred with Padma Vibhushan posthumously.

Many Bollywood actors and actresses have received padma awards earlier. The list of names is not too short: Dharmendra, Dev Anand, Shashi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Hema Malini and Waheeda Rehman have recieved padma awards earlier but Rajesh Khanna's name was never considered due to any unknown reason. Rajesh Khanna was also Congress MP from New Delhi constituency from 1992 to 1996.

The final decision over padma awards will be taken by Padma Awards Committee. Rajesh Khanna was the first super star in Hindi films but during the last stage of his life, Rajesh was very much alone. No one bothered to contact the stylish hero - even through phone. Lets hope the actor would get the padma award.

Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta welcomed fatherhood for the second time

Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta has become father again. Nilanjana, wife of Jisshu Sengupta gave birth to a baby girl on Friday morning - 9 November 2012. Both Nilanjana and the baby girl are fine.

Jisshu and Nilanjana already have one daughter - Sara. Both Jisshu and Nilanjana are happy with the new born baby girl and Jisshu called her Saraswati. Jisshu told that his first daughter is Laxmi and the second daughter is Saraswati.
 

Name of the new born baby of Jisshu and Nilanjana is not yet decided. Jisshu said that all the three members of the family will decide the name of the new baby.

18th Kolkata International Film Festival inauguration today at Netaji Indoor Stadium

Inauguration of 18th Kolkata International Film Festival will be held today at Netaji indoor stadium. Shah Rukh Khan has already reached Kolkata and Amitabh Bachchan cpome today. A group of 48 inmates of Presidency and Alipore jail will perform on the stage to entertain Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. They will perform a dance drama 'Valmiki Pratibha' directed by Alakananda Roy. All the artists of the dance drama are serving life sentence in jails. In real life, dancer and choreographer Alakananda Roy has engaged herself to train the inmates in a process of their gradual return to the mainstream. Alakananda Roy has already achieved the goal.

Besides Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan other celebrities like Mithun Chakraborty, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma are expected to be present on the stage.Jaya Bachchan may also be present at the inuguration ceremony of 18th Kolkata International Film Festival. Like last year, veteran filmmakers like Mrinal Sen and Tarun Majumder will not be present in inauguration of 18th Kolkata International Film Festival. Most of the Tollywood personalities will be present in opening ceremony.

It was earlier declared that Amitabh Bachchan will inaugurate the 18^th Kolkata International Film Festival at Netaji Indoor stadium along with Shah Rukh Khan. There is a little change in it, another superstar of Bollywood film industry and Bengal’s own Mithun Chakraborty will be also at the inauguration of 18^th Kolkata International Film Festival. After 26 years, Mithun and Amitabh Bachchan will share the same stage. For the last time they shared the stage was in Hope 86.

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee personally has invited Mithun Chakraborty for the inauguration function of 18^thKolkata International Film Festival.
