Varsha Bhosle, daughter of Asha Bhosle committed suicide

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle’s daughter Varsha Bhosle committed suicide today. Varsha Shoot herself with a revolver today at her South Mumbai residence.

Varsha Bhosle was in her mid 50’s and she had a suicide tendency. Earlier she had tried two times to commit suicide. Varsha Bhosle was a singer and columnist.

Varsha was taken to hospital but the hospital authority declared her dead. Varsha Bhosle was a divorcee. Varsha Bhosle used to sing in concerts with her mother and lend her voice as playback singer in both Hindi and Marathi films.

Police is investigating how Varsha Bhosle got the revolver. Varsha attempted suicide twice earlier, in 2008 and 2010. Asha Bhosle was in Singapore to attend a musical event and returning to Mumbai.
