Anupan Roy is a new star in Bengali music. Actually, Anupam is an all round talented personality. He is a singer, lyricist, music composer and music director. Recently he has expressed his desire to be director of Bengali films. Academic career of Anupam Roy is also as charming as his career in music. He is a graduate in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University. He is a gold medalist of 2004 batch. Before his complete involvement with music, he was working as an analog circuit design engineer in Texas Instruments, Bangalore.

During his days in Bangalore, Anupam was in touch with Bengali songs and music. He participated in different concerts and from those he was in touch with Bengali singers of Kolkata. His first break was two songs of the Bengali film Autograph and after that gathered the momentum in Bengali filmy songs. Anupam Roy’s debut as music director was in Bengali film ‘Chalo Paltai’.
