As an actor, there is no question on the capability of Bengali super star Prasenjit Chatterjee. Prasenjit wants to be director in future. This article is on his future planning. 

Recently Bengali film super star Prasenjit Chatterjee has expressed his desire that he will move on direction of films in the second innings of his filmy career. So one thing is almost certain that Bengal film industry will miss Prasanjit Chatterjee in aged roles in future although he has not maintained whether he will continue acting in some films.

Prasenjit not interested in so called art films. His choice is to make films which have values but at the same time will reach the greater number of audiences. In movie making his idols are Guru Dutt, Asit Sen and Mani Ratnam.

Prasenjit Chatterjee is in Bengal film industry for almost 28 years. He started his career with ‘Duti Pata’ in 1983. He was the hero of the film. After that film, Prasenjit worked with full dedication to reach the top in Bengali films. After the death of Super star Uttam Kumar, Bengali film market was totally destroyed. Prasenjit was the main architect to help the industry revive again. Prasenjit acted as child artist also but from 1983 till today he is at the top of Bengali film heroes.

Prasenjit Chatterjee is a fighter and known for his dedication. If he starts directing films in future, Bengali films will get a genuine film director. Prasenjit always remains focused on his work to reach the top and as a director also he will reach his destination.
