Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant in Bengali remake of The Dirty Picture

Rakhi Sawant will play the role of Silk Smitha in the Bengali version remake of Hindi film ‘The Dirty Picture’. Recently the film was released and performance of Vidya Balan was praised from all corner. Vidya got the national award for her performance in The Dirty Picture.

This is interesting that Pakistani actress Veena Malik will play the role of SilkSmitha in Karnataka version of the film on life of Silk. Rakhi Sawant is very much exited about the film. Rakhi assures that her performance will be better than Vidya Balan and she will perform better in the bold erotic scenes.

Rakhi Sawant has worked recently in Bengali film ‘Om Shanti Om’, directed by Shatabdi Roy. In Om Shanti Om, Rakhi has an item number. This Bengali version remake of The Dirty Picture will also be directed by Shatabdi Roy and the co-director is Tapas Paul. Both Shatabdi and Tapas Paul are veteran actors of Bengali films and presently they are Trinamool Congress MPs. Till now it is decided that Victor Banerjee will play the role of Naseeruddin Shah and Jeet will play the role of Tushar Kapoor.

Happy birthday to veteran Bollywood actress Zohra Sehgal. Grand young nanny of Bollywood film industry Zohra Sehgal turns 100 years on 27 April 2012. Zohra Sehgal played in mother’s role of Amitabh Bachchan and in the role of grand-mother of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.  Physical age of Zohra Sehgal is 100 years but mentally she is still a child.

At her early age, Zohra Sehgal  was interested in dancing and she was with Uday Shankar troop. Afterwards her interest was shifted from dance to acting. Zohra married Kameshwar Nath Sehgal and after the death of her husband in 1969, Zohra Sehgal went to Britain. Zohra Sehgal stayed in Britain for 25 years and after returning to country she started working in Hindi films as nanny. Till now the latest film of Zohra Sehgal  is Saawariya.

Pakistani actress Veena Malik In Remake of The Dirty Picture

Pakistani actress Veena Malik has been casted to play the role of Silk Smitha in the Kannada version of Hindi film 'The Dirty Picture'. In the Hindi film The Dirty Picture, actress Vidya Balan got a National Award.


Veena Malik is very much exited on getting the offer. Director and Producer of the Kannada film claims that the film will not be a remake of Hindi film 'The Dirty Picture', it will be based on the real script.The Kannada film will be directed by Trishul and producer is Venkatappa. Venkatappa's son will play the main lead male role opposite Veena Malik.


Nikita Thukral was originally considered to play the role Silk Smitha in the Kannada film but Nikita refused to accept the offer.

Rajinikanth Denies Compensation For Film '3'

Dhanush starrer '3' has incurred loses and the rumour is that South superstar Rajinikanth will compensate for the loses of the distributors of the film. Film '3' was directed by Rajinikanth daughter Aishwarya R Dhanush and Dhanush is the son-in-law of Rajinikanth.


Rajinikanth denies the rumour saying that he is not involved with the film and so there is no question of paying compensation to distributors. Earlier Dhanush claimed that the there was no loss for distributors of the film '3'.

The latest news of Kareena Kapoor is that she is doing cameos in Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Rowdy Rathore. It is also true that Kareena is doing cameos in Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dabangg 2.

There is a rumour that Kareena Kapoor is concentrating on woman centric movies. May be success of Vidya Balan in her recent movies which were totally woman centric have inspired Kareena  Kapoor. Let’s see whether Kareena Kapoor can give a tough competition to Vidya Balan.

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu Again Working Together

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu will be again seen working together in Ekta Kapoor’s film Shootout At Wadala. Bipasha Basu has a brief role in an item song in the film. John Abraham is in the lead role of the film Shootout At Wadala and Kangna Ranaut is paired with John. Bipasha Basu and John Abraham may be seen only in one scene of the film but that will be the first scene where John Abraham and Bipasha Basu will be together after their break up.

PAOLI DAM AND HER DEBUT HINDI MOVIE HATE STORY

Few more days are left before the release of Hate Story, the debut Hindi movie of Bengali actress Paoli Dam. Hate Story will be released on April 20, 2012. Director of Hate Story, Vivek Agnihotri describes this film as ‘erotica’ and Hate Story has already created a shock wave with the bare backed poster of Paoli Dam. Boldness is a part of Hate Story and that’s why Paoli Dam has been selected as lead actress of the film. Paoli Dam has appeared in many bold love-making scenes in Hate Story. Nude scene of Paoli Dam is also in Hate Story.

Vivek Agnihotri thinks that they are lucky to get Paoli Dam in Hate Story. Director and producer of Hate Story wanted a new face in their film who is a brilliant actress and at the same time can perform in bold scenes. Paoli Dam was in their mind after they saw Chhatrak at Cannes Film Festivals. According to the director of Hate Story Paoli Dam had no objection in shooting naked before the entire crew. 

Rani Mukherjee And Vidya Balan Are Angry With Each Other

During the promotion of Hindi film ‘No One Killed Jessica’, Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan were found in a good cordial relationship which is very uncommon in Bollywood. Vidya and Rani even shared a lip to lip kiss during the promotion of the film No One Killed Jessica.

Recently Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan are not in good terms with each other because of professional reasons. The conflict between these two sweet looking heroines is due to roles in Hindi movies. Vidya Balan was the first choice for upcoming Hindi film ‘Begum Samru’ but ultimately the role is offered to Rani Mukherjee as Vidya Balan took much time to confirm. The reverse situation is observed in another Hindi movie ‘Ghanchakkar’. At the initial stage Rani Mukherjee was supposed to do the role but Vidya Balan is being offered the role.

MANEKA SIRCAR MARRIAGE NEWS

Maneka Sorcar, daughter of great magician P.C.Sircar (Jr.) will tie the knot very soon with Sushmit Haldar, son of Trinamool Congress MP Dr. Sucharuranjan Haldar. Dr. Sucharuranjan Haldar is a famous skin specialist also. The marriage will be on 2 May and the reception will be on 5 May 2012 at Sangam hall of Fort William.

 This marriage of Maneka and Sushmit Haldar is not a love marriage. P.C.Sircar was looking for a suitable groom for his daughter through matrimonial advertisement in news paper and both the families came in contact through the advertisement.

 Maneka Sircar is presently performing as a magician in stage shows in both India and abroad. Sushmit has completed his education from abroad and presently he is the President of West Bengal Council of Vocational Training and Education.

Lifetime Achievement Awards For Bengali Actress Mousumi Chatterjee

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Baerjee honoured veteran Bollywood and Tollywood actress Moushumi Chatterjee with lifetime achievement award at the 12th Telecine Awards 2012 for her contribution to Indian cinema. Glamorous actress Moushumi Chatterjee of yesteryears made her debut in cinema 1969 with a Tarun Mazumder directed Bengali film 'Balika Bodhu'. Moushumi Chatterjee afterwards focused more on Hindi movies although she acted in many Bengali films. Debut Hindi movie of Moushumi Chatterjee is ‘Anurag’ in 1973 where she acted as a blind girl and her performance was praised by film critics.

Bengali actress and Trinamool Congress MLA Debasree Roy, actress turned Trinamool Congress MP Satabdi Roy, actor and Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal, and Telecine Society Chairman, actor turned Trinamool Congress MP Chiranjit were present in the award giving function.

Priyanka Chopra In Remake Of Zanjeer

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has signed to play the lead actress role in the remake film of Zanjee, the famous film of Amitabh Bachchan in yesteryears. The new version of Zanjeer will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia.

Priyanka Chopra will portray the role of Jaya Bachchan in the original Zanjeer although the role is supposed to be changed a little bit. In the new version of Zanjeer, Priyanka will act as a US-returned owner of a cafe.  The leading hero of the new version Zanjeer is Ramcharan Teja and the film will be in both Hindi and Telegu language.

Sachin Tendulkar Welcomes Yuvraj Singh On His Return Back To India

Sachin Tendulkar welcomed Yuvraj Singh on his return back to India after winning the battle against cancer. Sachin wished Yuvraj Singh a speedy recovery.

Sachin Tendulkar wrote on Twitter "Yuvi- Got well soon?. Welcome back home my brother after winning a tough battle with cancer,"

Yuvraj Singh returned India yesterday after completing the chemotherapy course in US. Yuvraj Singh was returning from London where he spent some days before returning back to India. Yuvraj Singh’s mother Shabnam received him at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Huge number of Yuvraj fans was present at the airport.

From now Yuvraj Singh will be under complete rest and he does not have to see any doctor for next three months. Doctors have advised Yuvraj Singh to take sufficient time before star playing.

Madhuri Dixit Signed Her First Film After Coming Back To India

The latest news on Madhuri Dixit is that she has signed her first film after she shettled to Mumbai after coming back from America to India . Madhuri Dixit will act in 'DedhIshqiya' which is the sequel of Vishal Bhardwaj's ‘Ishqiya’. The film DedhIshqiya will be directed by Ahishek Choubey and co-stars of Madhuri in the film will be Kangna Ranaut, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi.

Madhuri Dixit will play the role of Shahi Begum in DedhIshqiya and she is paired opposite Naseeruddin Shah.
